Your daily calorie target is calculated based on your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) and your fitness goal. TDEE represents the total number of calories you burn each day, including your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and activity level.
For weight loss, we reduce your TDEE by a percentage (default 15%) to create a calorie deficit. For weight gain, we increase your TDEE by a percentage to create a calorie surplus. For maintenance, your calorie target equals your TDEE.
